My school held a fashion show on thursday. It was gorgeous =) And today we had our open day, my class managed the café. It was fun, but my feet hurt and my sick knee is twitching since wednesday. We prepared our school in the last four days and now I'm so tired and exhausted... >_<

Mal was neues

Wenn ich sticke, was momentan leider nicht so häufig vorkommt, sitze ich an meinem Weihnachtsbild. Ihr erinnert euch? Mein UFO [Unfertiges Objekt], das ich seit einem halben Jahr hege und pflege. Aber langsam komme ich vorwärts =)

Actually I'm working on one of my UFOs, the Snowman by Debbie Mumm. But in the last days I got ahead a bit =)

Nebenbei versuche ich mich auch an meinem ersten Temari. Seit ich dieses Bild hier bei DeviantArt gefunden habe, wollte ich das einfach unbedingt probieren. Eine Freundin hat mir dann letzte Woche gezeigt, wie man einen Temari vorbereitet und wie man die Stiche setzt, aber wie man sieht, muss ich noch üben. Ganz so einfach ist das dann doch nicht. Vor allem beim Abmessen der Strecken muss man sehr genau sein.

I'm working on my first Temari =) After looking at this picture I had to try this technique and it's really fascinating. A friend of mine told me last week how to prepare the styrofoam ball and how to make the Temari stitch. It's really difficult, you have to be very accurate especially in the measuring.

So, nach einer langen Nachtschicht wurde ich gestern gegen 3 Uhr früh fertig, heute wurde dann gewaschen, gebügelt und der Rand ge-fray-checked... und es sieht gut aus. Tadaa! Eingepackt ist es schon, morgen macht es sich auf den Weg und kommt hoffentlich gut und schnell an =)


After a long night of work I finished it yesterday. It looks so good =) And now it's packed and ready to send.



Apropos ankommen, heute lag das fehlende Sajou-Teilchen in unserem Postfach. Damit hat die Schere nun ihr Etui und sieht noch besser aus =) *angeb*

Today I received a letter and with this the missing etui. Now my Sajou scissors are preserved in proper style =)

Early Shift und das Goji-Glas

Kaum ist der Cameron-Star beendet und unterwegs zum neuen Besitzer =) sitze ich am nächsten Bild, dem Geschenk für meinen Vater. Silhouetten zu sticken macht Spaß, vermutlich weil es schöne abgegrenzte, einfarbige Flächen sind *grins* Aber ich finde das Bild sowieso sehr schön und habe wirklich Spaß dran, weiterzuarbeiten.

The Cameron star is on its way to the friend of mine and I'm workung on my next project, Early Shift. Stitching simple forms in one colour is very relaxing ^_____^ But I like the picture, so it's fun even without a great challenge behind.


Anbei mal mein Goji-Glas, indem ich meine Garnenden sammle. In einigen englischen bzw amerikanischen Blogs bin ich auf die Tusal-Gläser gestoßen und wollte euch mal meines zeigen [auch wenn ich beim offiziellen Tu-SAL nicht mitmache] =) Durch das Muster auf dem Glas ist das ganze relativ schwierig zu erkennen, sieht aber in echt wirklich gut aus. [Hier mal ein gefülltes Glas, so sieht man das Muster besser] Goji sind übrigens vitaminreiche Beeren, bei uns unter Gemeiner Bocksdorn zu finden.

An here's my Goji jar with the thread ends I've collected. I've seen the Tusal jars in a couple of English and American blogs and thought it would be nice to show you mine [even though I don't take place in the Tu-SAL]. Because of the pattern on the jar it's hard to see, but in real life it looks great =) [Here is a full jar, I like the design ^__^] Originally it was filled with  juice with Goji berries.
